What happens when you WhatsApp us
You have the message half typed, and you wonder what you are starting.
You send a short brief. We reply with questions and a clearer plan. If you want a quote, we can introduce you to a licensed Malaysian agency, and the booking then happens between you and that agency. At no point do we take your booking or your money.
What do I send first?
Copy this and fill what you know. Leave the rest as “not sure”.
- Who is travelling: number of adults and children, and any older parents.
- Where you are thinking of, or what kind of trip you want.
- A rough month or school holiday.
- Your halal standard in one line, for example “certified only” or “Muslim-owned or certified, no alcohol”.
- Prayer needs in one line, for example “must stop for Zohor and Asar”.
- Anything that worries you: a mixed pool, a long walk for a parent, a tight budget.
A short brief is a good brief. We ask for more only when we need it.
What happens after I send it?
- We read it and ask what is missing. Usually two or three questions about food, prayer or pace.
- We help you shape the trip. That means whether the destination fits your needs, where the halal and prayer gaps are, and what to ask a seller. Our guides and tools back this up, such as the dietary enquiry brief generator and the prayer-stop itinerary checklist.
- You decide whether you want a quote. Some travellers stop here and book on their own. That is a complete outcome.
- If you want a quote, we introduce a licensed agency. You agree first to what is shared.
- You deal with the agency directly. It sends the quote, takes the booking and holds the contract.
What do we take care not to do?
- Take bookings, hold deposits or set prices.
- Call any named restaurant or hotel halal or certified.
- Issue religious rulings.
- Send your details onward without your agreement.
This is a planning service. The agency is the seller, and its licence is something you should check yourself.
What should I keep out of the chat?
Keep passport numbers, IC numbers and payment details out of the planning chat. The Personal Data Protection Act 2010 regulates how data users handle personal data in commercial transactions1, and sharing less is the simplest protection. Share identity details only with the agency you have checked and chosen.
How should a group organiser use it?
Send one brief for the whole group, with the number of people, the age range and anyone who observes differently. Our group organiser’s checklist lists what else to collect from members before you ask for quotes.
Your next step
Send the brief. If you are still choosing a destination, the guide on choosing a first overseas holiday may help you narrow the options first. When quotes arrive, check them against which arrangements to confirm in writing.
When you are ready, send the brief below as it is, even if half the lines say you are not sure yet.
Common questions
Do I have to give my full travel dates in the first message?
No. A rough month and the number of travellers are enough to start. Dates matter later, when you compare real quotes. If dates depend on school holidays or Hari Raya, say so and we can plan around the uncertainty.
Will you send my details to an agency without asking?
No. An agency introduction happens only if you ask for a quote, and only after you agree to what is shared. You can stop at planning help and never be introduced to anyone.
Can I use the WhatsApp chat for a group of ten or more?
Yes. One organiser can send the brief for the whole group. List the number of people, the mix of ages, and any members who observe differently. That single brief is easier to compare against quotes than ten separate messages.
What if I have a religious question, such as jamak and qasar?
We can explain the practical side, such as where prayer fits in the day. For what is allowed for you, ask your own ustaz or your state mufti office. We do not issue rulings.
Should I send my passport or IC by WhatsApp?
No. Planning help does not need identity numbers. Keep passport and IC details for the licensed agency, once you have checked its licence and decided to book. Send only what the stage needs.
