Hotels, rooms and privacy that fit your family
You want a room where your family can pray, wash and rest in privacy.

A hotel can call itself Muslim-friendly and still leave you with a room that faces the wrong way, a minibar full of alcohol and a pool everyone shares. This hub gathers every page on checking hotel claims, choosing areas, setting up a room, handling pools and spas, and cooking for yourself.
The pages describe what to ask and what to check, not who is good or bad. Each family sets its own comfort line. For a fiqh question, ask your own ustaz or your state mufti office.
How should you use this hub?
Start with the claims group before you book. Then read the area and room groups, and the pool and privacy groups that apply to your trip. The sample stays at the end show how the choices come together.

Common questions
How do I check a hotel's Muslim-friendly claim?
Ask what the claim covers: prayer mat and qibla, pork-free kitchen, halal-certified food, alcohol in the minibar or bar. Then ask for written answers and a certificate if one is claimed. The checking guide and the email template give the exact wording to use.
What does a Muslim-friendly badge on a booking site mean?
It means the hotel ticked a box for one or two features, not that anyone verified the kitchen. A badge is a starting point. Read the page on badges, then send the questions in the email template before you pay.
How do I get a quiet, private room for my family?
Ask for a floor away from the lift and bar, adjoining or connecting rooms if you have teenagers, and curtains and mirrors that suit your family. The room pages set out the request, and the stay requirements builder turns it into a message.
What should a solo Muslim woman check at a hotel?
Check door locks, window security, corridors and whether women-only floors exist. The solo-woman page lists privacy checks, and the women-only pages show where such floors, dorms and hours are offered.
How do I manage pools and spas as a modest family?
Ask about mixed pools, children's hours, private pools and what can be seen from outside. The pool pages cover swimwear rules, resorts with quiet areas and private-pool visibility, and the spa pages explain hamam and onsen etiquette.
Can I cook my own halal meals on a trip?
Yes, if the stay has a kitchenette. Ask the host about the kitchen, utensils and rubbish rules, find halal groceries nearby and check voltage before packing a rice cooker. The self-catering pages walk through each step.
